The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) is here by declared the former Katsina state governor, Ibrahim Shema wanted.

Ibrahim Shema, the former governor of Katsina who is said to narrowly escaped arrest on Wednesday is wanted by the EFCC for an alleged gross financial misconduct while he was in the office between 2007 and 2015.
According to source, Mr. Shema is been accused of embezzlement of the state fund of about N18 billion just in 2012.
It was further revealed by the officials who stated that Mr. Shema had been diverted about N50 billion monthly local government allocation accounts which is being manage together by the state government leaving little for developmental projects and clearance of local government employees’ wages and salaries.
An anti-graft office which Mr. Shema has been smartly evading the anti-graft agency said even when was scheduled for a meeting with him at the agency’s headquarters in December 2015, Mr. Shema said he was out of the country.
