Justice Abang in Trouble as Court Reversed Ikpeazu's Sack

Victory has finally embraced the embattled Governor of Abia state, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as the Court of Appeal Abuja was yesterday reversed his sack from the office as ordered by the Abuja Federal High Court after an appeal filed by Okezie and PDP.


The Judgement by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja, held last on June 27 ordering Governor Ikpeazu to vacate the office for violation of payment of tax while Uche Ogah takes over has been nullified and declared void after the Abuja Court of Appeal found that Governor Ikpeazu was issued a fake document by the tax office.

A five-man panel led by Justice Helen Moronkeji Ogunwumiju has faulted Justice Okon Abang for trading on false information and declared his findings wrong and inconclusive. And here by reserved the ordered he made including Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to be sacked and Uche Ogah issuance of Certificate of Return by INEC.
